Lived Experience in Mental Health: Implications for Management Research
Employees’ mental health issues present significant challenges for organizations globally. Despite various support mechanisms, systemic stigmatization of people with mental health challenges endures. I will draw on my research and policy work over the last 8 years which focuses on purposeful employment of people with lived experience of mental health. I will offer a broad overview of this research program which included work carried out both in the mental health sector and in other sectors in Australia, with the hope that the lived experience concept can be understood and adopted more broadly in management research and practice.

Drawing on his internationally recog-nised work in molecular allergy, immunology and food safety, he will examine emerging patterns in food and environmental allergies, including the growing burden among adults and ageing populations. Integrating molecular, clinical, and population-level perspectives, the talk highlights how climate change, biodiversity shifts, and urban living intersect to influence immune respons-es and chronic inflammatory disease. This session underscores the urgency of advancing tropical health research to inform prevention, diagnosis, and policy in a changing global environment.Connect with James Cook University, Singapore: Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jcu.singapore.fanpage/ Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/jcu_singapore Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jcusingapore Follow us on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jcusingapore And for more news and information, visit https://www.jcu.edu.sg/
